Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

As the largest botanical garden in New England, the Gardens comprise 295 acres, 17 of which feature native plants of Maine and other plants suited to northern coastal conditions. Along with truly exceptional natural beauty, waterfalls, and incomparable stonework/sculpture there are miles of hiking and walking trails.

Boothbay Region YMCA

Within walking distance to our campus, the Y makes it easy for residents to meet their health and wellness goals. Offering a variety of programming for seniors including individual and group swim lessons, group exercise, a diabetes prevention program, personal training, Parkinson’s program, indoor track & tennis, fitness center, Red Cross courses and more.

Boothbay Region Art Foundation

Since 1964, this non-profit Foundation has served the artists and communities of the Boothbay Region. The mission is to create opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy, learn from and participate in the visual arts. BRAF annually presents the Maine Photography Show, the annual premier juried gallery show of photography in Maine.

Boothbay Harbor Country Club

Boothbay Region Land Trust

BRLT preserves provide over 30 miles of pet-friendly hiking trails across 26 preserves, open year-round to the public, free of charge. A non-profit organization with a mission to conserve for the public benefit the natural habitat, scenic beauty and working land of the Boothbay region.

Ocean Point

Located just a few miles east of Boothbay Harbor is a scenic drive that follows the shoreline of quintessential Maine. On the Point, you can sit and read a book while the sailboats cruise by, walk the narrow streets and admire the turn of the century historic architecture, climb the rocks or kayak in the coves that line the shore. The views are unrivaled.

Boothbay Region Garden Club

With a mission to promote interest in the art and practice of gardening, education, and beautification of the Boothbay Region, the Club’s work covers public buildings with window boxes, wreaths and plants and maintaining many area public gardens. Scholarships are provided for YMCA camperships and to college students studying environmental studies. Activities for residents of the Gregory Wing at St. Andrews Village are also provided by the Garden Therapy Committee.
