Purchasing a Cottage at St. Andrews Village

Cottages are purchased on a cooperative basis and owned by the St. Andrews Village Association. Residents purchase a share of stock representing the value of their residences and become community shareholders. When residents move from their cottages, their stock is sold by St. Andrews at a price determined by the shareholder and reflecting the current market value of the residence. Residents receive the proceeds of the sale, less an 8% refurbishing and resale fee.

What is included in the monthly cottage association fee?

One monthly fee covers cottage and grounds maintenance, snow and trash removal, twenty-four hour emergency call response, property taxes, homeowner’s insurance, scheduled transportation and more. (see Fees and What’s Included)

If there are currently no cottages for sale, is there a waiting list I can join?

Yes. Prospective residents can join our Priority Member Waiting List. By doing so, all members in the program receive first notification of any cottages for sale and apartments for rent. They then have a customary window of two weeks to inquire and make any offers (cottages) or deposit (apartments). In the event that more than one member is interested, precedence goes to the member higher on the list.
