Safe Havens at St. Andrews Village
The Safe Havens program is here to help. Safe Havens provides a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents with memory loss. We also provide the resources, services and support seniors need to preserve memory, retain independence and feel right at home.
A close-knit community of private and semi-private suites clustered around inviting common areas, the St. Andrews Village Alzheimer’s Care program immediately reassures patients and families that they are in good hands. Our professional, attentive team works closely with families, physicians and seniors to create personalized wellness plans for every resident.
At the heart of the Alzheimer’s Care program is our outdoor garden. In all seasons, the garden provides serenity and solace for patients and their families. The community kitchen reinforces memory with favorite smells, tastes and tasks. A calendar of daily activities provides the comforts of routine as well as feelings of accomplishment, progress and self-worth. And families of residents have access to respite care, community programs, and the personal support of our staff.
For seniors not yet ready for full-time residency, St. Andrews Village Safe Havens also offers Adult Day Services seven days a week. When caregivers and families need a respite and time to recharge, our dedicated family is here to help.
Because St. Andrews Village is part of St. Andrews Healthcare Center and a member of the MaineHealth network, residents in our Safe Havens program have the additional peace of mind that comes from access to the finest healthcare technology and services, as well as priority access to higher levels of care within St. Andrews Village, should it ever be needed. If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or memory loss, call (207) 633-0920 to find out which level of care is the right level of care today.
